Services and Integrations
Every type of massage is billed at the same hourly rate.
I operate on a sliding scale depending on how often you come for massage therapy. My typical price is $120 an hour for therapy. I also offer $100 an hour to bi-weekly customers (every other week), and $90 an hour to weekly customers.
Currently I am offering $90 an hour to all new customers for your first massage. If you are unsure of what kind of therapy you need, a one hour massage will tell me all I need to know to advise you on therapy.
Hot Oil and Bamboo
Bamboo tools can be incorporated into regular massage. Often there are tough areas on the body that can be addressed with a Bamboo tool, both effectively and comfortably.
I also have incorporated a new bamboo specific routine into my practice. It is involves multiple tools being used along with oil in a traditional bamboo massage style. These tools and the oil are heated to add to the therapeutic benefit of the massage.
Bamboo tools are exceptionally dense and they provide deep work both in muscles and fascia.
Hot and Cold Stone Therapy
Hot and Cold stone therapy is an excellent way to directly enhance the therapeutic massage experience. The heat from the stones can be applied all over the body, and to specific problem areas to enhance circulation and facilitate the bodies natural rejuvenation.
It is up to you to decide how much heat you would like in your massage. Stones can be applied directly to the skin or over a draping. Alternatively, it can be enough to use the stones to heat the therapists hands for the massage.
Cold stone therapy is also very enjoyable and therapeutic. The cold temperatures are ideal for enflamed areas. Also the combination of the heat and cold provides exceptional therapeutic relief for injury recovery and chronic pain management.
Myofascial Release
In addition to the muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments that make up the body, there is also fascia. Fascia is the name given to the web of connective tissue throughout the body. It is essential for every movement and requires care and maintenance the same way the rest of the body does. It is meant to be loose and elastic to help facilitate muscle movements.
Over time, fascia can begin to stiffen. This is usually caused by the muscles in the area being stiff over a long period of time. When our fascia gets stiff, it can’t function properly and as a result the muscles get more stiff from working at a diminished capacity. These two conditions can exacerbate each other and cause regular discomfort or even pain.
Not to worry. Fascia can regain its elasticity over time with regular massage therapy. A Myofascial integration as part of a regular massage therapy routine can break up tough fascia and return it to a healthy elasticity. Myofascial work can also be done individually depending on the needs of the client.
The process is simple. The therapist finds firm fascia and applies heavy pressure, often for minutes at a time. While people often are concerned that Myofascial work can be uncomfortable, clients generally find the therapy very comfortable and as enriching as typical therapy.
Myofascial work can cause long term benefits to the body which you can see in your day to day life.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy is among the most gentle and non-invasive forms of therapy there is. The goal is to facilitate the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the body. This fluid moves around our brain and down our spinal cord, and is responsible for maintaining and protecting these areas.
Usually performed by gently rocking or massaging the body, the physical movement helps move the fluid, as well has helps the body restore its natural flow. This can be an excellent therapeutic experience for someone with anything from headaches, to sinus issues, to ADHD.
